The international community of Women Living with HIV (ICW) congratulates the Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP+) on their selection and announcement of six great community leaders to join GNP+ board of Directors.
“We are very excited to see such strong successful candidates selected to join the GNP+ Board. The diversity and expertise reflects the energy community members have to see our global networks succeed and continue representing people living with HIV at the highest levels to ensure our rights are upheld and we have a strong united voice at the decision making table.” Said Rebecca Matheson ICW Global Director.
Our congratulations to the selected members who are long term community advocates and close allies of ICW from grassroots to global levels. Our congratulations to Julian Kerboghosian(Lebanon), Nelson Juma Otwoma (Kenya), Trevor Stratton (Canada), Svitlana Moros (Ukraine), Phelister Wamboi Abdalla (Kenya) and Jacquelyne Alesi (Uganda).
We are excited to see our members represented here as well as strong allies who have worked alongside ICW on amplifying the agenda of women and girls within the HIV response. We remain committed to working together with the new board members who will be joining an existing board and believe their joint experiences will be instrumental in guiding the engagement of People Living with HIV meaningfully at all levels of decision making platforms on issues that affect our lives and those of our communities.
