ICW envisions a world where all women living with HIV live free of gender oppression, realizing and claiming our full rights inclusive of sexual, reproductive, legal, social, economic and health rights.
ICW exists to lead efforts towards securing and improving the quality of life for women living with HIV. We do this by mobilizing, organizing, advocating, mentoring and raising consciousness on the issues that directly impact our lives.
In order to fulfill our vision and mission we have two key strategies:
- Strategy One: To build a vibrant movement of powerful and informed women living with HIV who realize and claim their rights at a personal and societal level.
- Strategy Two: To define and advance the agenda of women living with HIV and undertake strategic advocacy efforts to ensure the realization of our human rights.
Our two-pronged focus for the next three years is about improving the lives of women living with HIV, building our network, ensuring that our members have greater agency in their lives and ensuring that the human rights abuses we face are recognized and action taken to end them.
